Day 1 Arrival at Kochi in evening

Day 2 Kochi
After breakfast , enjoy a half-day tour of Cochin. Kochi (colonial name Cochin) is a vibrant city, also referred to as the Gateway to Kerala. The ruler of Kochi allowed the Portuguese to construct a fort next to the waterfront here. Thus, emerged Fort Kochi. Also called Fort Emmanuel, Portuguese planned their livelihood around the church with settlements and church. St. Francis church, the first church of colonial era where Vasco-Da-Gama's body was buried before being taken to Portugal. You'll also come across Dutch cemetery, Santa Cruz Basilica, Indo Portuguese museum and Cochin Thirumala Devaswom Temple, Willingdon Island here.
In the evening, witness a Kathakali dance performance. Kathakali is the most recognized dance drama form in Kerala. It dates back to the seventeenth century and is deeply rooted in mythology, taking it themes from the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. A traditional Kathakali performance began at dusk continued through the night, culminating at the auspicious hour of dawn, when Good finally conquers Evil. Now, of course, shorter performances are more the norm! Costumes and makeup are dramatically characteristic of the dance, and the technique involves highly intricate gestures and expressions.

Day 3 Kochi-Munnar (127kms/3-4hrs drive approx.)
After breakfast drive to Munnar; upon arrival Munnar you will check in at a hotel and relax . Overnight in Munnar
Day 4 Munnar
Today, enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Munnar. In the morning, visit the Tea Museum in the Nallathanni Estate of Tata Tea, which showcases some of the exquisite and interesting aspects of the genesis and growth of tea plantations in Munnar. This Tea Museum houses curios, photographs and machinery. Also visit Mattupetty, located about 13 km from Munnar. Mattupetty is known for its dam and the beautiful lake, which offers pleasurable boat rides. Later visit the Kundala tea plantations and the Kundala Lake. The ake is the most photographed part of Kundala. Take a stroll in the tea estate, and enjoy the refreshing mountain breeze. Here you can view the entire process of making tea, right from plucking of tea leaves to their processing.
Overnight in Munnar
Day 5 Munnar-Periyar (135kms/3-4hrs drive approx.)
After breakfast in morning you will check out hotel and drive to Periyar; upon arrival Periyar you will check in at hotel and relax. Thereafter you are at leisure for your own activities.

Day 6 Periyar
After breakfast you will enjoy boat ride in Lake Periyar. To avail the entry ticket customer need to personally stand in queue in front of the ticket counter and collect the ticket. The best way to explore Periyar is by boat, but you also have the option of spending time atop watchtowers. At Eddapaliyam, right from the hotel, it is possible to sit back and enjoy the sight of gaur, elephant and wild boar as they come out to graze from inside the deep forest. Trekking is an option open only to the serious naturalist. For such visitors, the Forest Department provides guides who are local tribal.

Day 7 Periyar-Kollam (161kms/3-4hrs drive approx.)
After breakfast you will check out hotel and drive to Kollam; upon arrival Kollam you will check in at a hotel and relax. Overnight in Kollam

Day at leisure or relax on lagoon side. Overnight in Kollam

Day 11 Kollam-Alleppey (83kms/2hrs drive approx.)
After breakfast you are at leisure till noon; at noon you will check out from the hotel on time and then drive to Alleppey; upon arrival Alleppey you will check in at a houseboat and relax. Meals on board.
Enjoy a day cruise on a house boat in Alleppey. Alleppey, "Venice of the East" has a large network of canals that meander through the town and surrounding villages… the Snake Boat Race held every year in August in the backwaters is a major attraction. An enchanting glide in a "Kettuvallam" (Houseboat) takes you through palm fringed narrow canals, winding through the vast expanse of paddy fields and tiny hamlets. Flocks of ducks swimming around the banks and tiny birds flying across the sky share the backwaters with country boats of various types … carrying passengers from all walks of Kerala's rural life ranging from the milkman and newspaper boy to local politicians, priests and wedding parties.
Overnight in Alleppey.
Day 12 Alleppey-Kumarakom (houseboat cruise)
After breakfast you will again cruise on Kerala backwaters and then proceed towards Kumarakom. Overnight on houseboat
Day 13 Kumarakom-Kochi (65kms/1-2hrs drive approx.)
After breakfast you will check out houseboat and then you will enjoy a walk inside the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Kumarakom is a cluster of little islands on Vembanad Lake, which is home to the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. An ornithologist's paradise, the sanctuary is spread across 14 acres, and is the favourite haunt of local birds like Waterfowl, Cuckoo, Owls, Egrets, Herons, Water Ducks, Parrots, Teal, Larks, Flycatchers and Wood Beetle. The Island of Pathiramanal ( meaning Sands of night), with its lush acres of wooded land, attracts a variety of migratory birds that flock in thousands, some from the Himalayas, some even from as far as Siberia… including the Siberian Crane.
Later you will drive to Kochi. Check in at a hotel and relax. Overnight in Kochi
Day 14 Kochi departure
After breakfast you will drive to Kochi airport to board flight for onward destination; henceforth your journey ends with sweet memories.
